Tungsten carbide drill bits are the easiest and most economical option for drilling holes in tile. With the tungsten carbide bits, the head with centering bit (ref. 04992) and an electric drill without a hammer, the installer will be able to make the most common and necessary holes in any tile covering without the need to make visible cuts. The tungsten carbide drill bits always work on the unglazed face of the tile and, thanks to the centering head bit, the use of a guide is not necessary. The bits are dry cutting, but it is recommended to slightly dampen the tile to reduce dust generation during drilling. The half life of drills tungsten carbide is 100 holes and ALWAYS depends on the type of tile, its thickness and proper cooling and use. The drilling depth of the tungsten carbide drill bits is 18mm. Before making a new drilling we must make sure that the drill is clean and free of any obstruction or rest of material. The maximum speed of use for tungsten carbide drill bits is 800 rpm. For a longer life of the drill, it is important to respect the correct speed of rotation and exert moderate pressure during drilling. To obtain the best finishes, it is recommended not to completely drill the tile and break the core from the glazed part.
