The RC-10 cement remover effectively removes the remains of cement and mortar adhered to the surface of the ceramic tile.
The main advantages of RC-10 cement remover is its great descaling power and its fast action.
The RC-10 cement remover is a product indicated for cleaning remains of cement, mortar, glue cement, and any type of calcareous-based substance in porcelain stoneware, enameled stoneware, tile and rustic stoneware.
It is also suitable for cleaning efflorescence stains (saltpeter) on brick walls, facing, terraces of baked earth or tuff and other materials not sensitive to acids.
For the correct application of RC-10 cement remover, Rubí recommends following the following steps:
1. Apply the product directly on the stain (pure if it is a cement stain, or dissolving a part of the product with a part of water if it is efflorescence stains).
2. Leave the product to act for 3 or 4 minutes (effervescence will be observed on mortar or cement stains).
3. Rub vigorously with a brush or scouring pad.
4. Rinse with plenty of water while continuing to rub.
5. Dry with a cotton cloth. If dirt remains unremoved, repeat the operation (for large encrustations, more than one application will be necessary).
RC-10 Cement Remover is a strong acid-based descaling cleaner.
It has a pH between 0 and 1 and a density of 1,05kg / L.
The performance of the RC-10 will depend on how the product is applied, having approximately a performance of 2 m² / L if it is applied neat, of about 12 m² / L if it is applied diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio (recommended dilution for efflorescence cleaning), or about 40 m² / L if applied diluted with water in a 1: 5 ratio for general cleaning. Note: The yields are indicative.
For a correct and safe application of RC-10 cement remover, Rubí recommends taking into account the following precautions:
- Do not apply the product on surfaces sensitive to acids (marble, terrazzo, hydraulic mosaic, and in general any type of polished natural stone).
- Although the product can be used without problems on stoneware and tiles, there are some old ceramics that show poor vitrification. The use of the product on these ceramics can damage the enamel, so it is recommended to do a small test to evaluate the results.
- Avoid contact of the product with metallic surfaces (aluminum, stainless steel, iron, etc.).
- It can modify or damage the pigments of some colored joints.
- Respect the application times of the product. Longer application time can lead to the formation of corrosive vapors.
ALWAYS PERFORM A SMALL TEST IN A POOR VISIBLE AREA TO EVALUATE THE RESULTS.
