The constant evolution of ceramic materials poses a challenge for ceramic tile installation professionals.

With the arrival of porcelain stoneware, the hardness of the materials became the main concern of the professional.

Now, with the new production processes, and with the consolidation of porcelain as the most widely used material, as well as the growing presence of large formats or ceramic sheets, the main handicap is the difficulty in cutting ceramic tiles.

This difficulty is the result of combining the hardness, thickness, surface finish and possible internal stresses of the material itself.

For the most difficult ceramic materials, Rubí offers the professional the EXTREME range of scoring wheels and rollers.

EXTREME wheels and rollers are made of high quality tungsten carbide, with a special titanium carbide coating.

Thanks to this coating, Rubí EXTREME rollers and rollers suffer less wear during use.

But in addition, the EXTREME rollers and rollers, being mounted on a bearing, completely eliminate the friction of the roller itself with the roller axis. This combination allows the behavior of the EXTREME wheel to be much superior to the rest, offering a smooth scratch and a life of 300%, compared to SILVER wheels and rollers under the same conditions of use.

The range of rodeles and rulinas EXTREME are specially designed and recommended for scratching ceramic materials with rough and structured surface finishes (textures or reliefs).

The EXTREME scoring wheels are compatible with the Rubí cutter ranges: TS-MAX, TR-MAGNET and SPEED-MAGNET in their 10 mm gauge version and with the TZ and TX-MAX ranges in the 12 mm gauge version.
